Gifts of Treasure

Our Faith, Our Hope, Our Future Capital Campaign...

$1.6 Million Raised to Date!

St. Mary’s Capital Campaign, with a goal of $1.8 million, hopes to complete necessary restorations to St. Mary’s historic church building built in 1926 at a cost of $1.1 million, and secure the parish debt of $700,000 incurred through investments made by the parish to ensure the future growth of St. Mary Catholic School. Restorations to the church include: stained-glass window repairs, replacement of the church ceiling, installation of a new air-conditioning system, refurbishment of the kneelers, repair of water and moisture damage, upgrades to the church bathroom, and installation of new sound and fire-alarm systems. Investments in the school include restoration of the first and third floors of the Sisters of Mercy Building, now home to St. Mary’s Preschool and Middle School; and purchase of adjoining property now used for St. Mary’s art program and after school care. The campaign will offer naming opportunities to donors including the recently renovated six middle school classrooms, and all of the church stained-glass windows.
St. Mary’s Capital Campaign co-chairs are Tim and Marian Clarke and Victor and Nancy Henken who will oversee hundreds of volunteers in the twelve week campaign. For more information on the projects of the capital campaign, contact the St. Mary Parish Development Office at 432-8678, ext. 2

Stewardship Appeal 2010
The 2010 Stewardship Appeal begins in January this year with the Lay Appeal followed by the Pastor Appeal. Stewardship provides the annual operational funds necessary to serve the families of St. Mary Church and St. Mary Catholic School. Participation from all parishioners is necessary to continue the many ministries St. Mary has to offer. When pledging, keep in mind that St. Mary offers the option of direct deposit where monthly deductions can be made through bank accounts. For more information, contact St. Mary’s Development Office at 432-8678, ext. 2.

Last Year to Buy a Brick to benefit St. Mary Catholic School!
St. Mary Catholic School’s Annual Fund Drive for the 2009-2010 year is under way with Desi Tobias as this year’s chairman. With more than $50,000 combined proceeds from the 2008-2009 drive, and the 2008 Steve Thompson Mustang Golf Tournament, St. Mary was able to complete the majority of the comprehensive site- plan goals including a new grassy play area, privacy fencing and a new Lafayette Street paved visitor parking area and drive. The plan hopes to be complete with funds raised this year to include a paved brick pathway and plaza. Each and every year dollars are provided for technology improvement, academic dollars for the classroom and endowment growth. Bricks make great gifts for friends and family and can be purchased for as little as $150 each. Bricks are a great way to honor events such as birthdays and anniversaries, and to memorialize loved ones. For more information, contact St. Mary’s Development Office, 432-8678, ext. 2.

Fence Campaign Continues

Donors may also share fence panels with other donors--great idea for graduating classes! Please call the parish office at 432-8678 for more information.

The price is $550 for a 7-foot fence panel. Order forms are available from the Development Office or by clicking here. For more information contact the Development Office by email or call 432-8678 ext. 2.
