OUR SCHOOL

Lunchroom Menu

Saint Mary School participates in the USDA Lunch Program. Information concerning free or reduced lunches is available in the school office. Families who qualify are encouraged to apply. All information is kept confidential.

A lunch menu is sent home each month. Students not participating in the hot lunch program may carry their lunches from home. Due to government lunch program regulations, only school lunches or home-prepared lunches are allowed during lunch time. Students/Parents are not allowed to bring hot lunch or fast food lunches to school. Students may not bring carbonated beverages or candy to school.

Student lunches should be paid for in advance by the month, week, or day. If paying on a daily basis, lunch must be ordered in the morning by 8:00 A.M. This is necessary to assure the preparation of enough food items to serve all students.

The cost for our well-balanced hot lunch is $2.25 per day, if paid in advance by the first school day each month. The cost is $2.50 if paid on a weekly or daily basis. Additional fees will be added if students need to charge their lunches. Milk is provided as part of the school lunch; it may also be purchased for $.50 per carton.

Parent lunches cost $3.50. Throughout the year special programs are planned for parents and other family members. Parents and other family members are always welcome to join us for lunch. Please notify the office so that numbers can be sent to the cafeteria in order to prepare enough food.

It is important for every student to eat a healthy lunch. If a student does not bring a lunch from home or did not order a school lunch for that day, he/she will need to charge a school lunch. Students will call home to see whether they will be brought a lunch or to get permission to charge. The cost for charging a lunch is $3.50.
